One of the great Disney classics is Swiss Family Robinson. Every kid who watches it dreams of having a tree fort like that one. My boys ask immediatley after the movie if we can build a tree fort just like that one. We hit the lumber recycling center and got most of the wood for pennies on the dollar. After many weeks working on it the boys have built their tree fort, with a little help from Dad. It has 4 levels ranging from 5 to 35 feet, mechanical stairs, rope bridge, zip line, solar lighting system and enough room for 7 to sleep comfortably. The Robinson Family would be proud. - Ramos Family highlights for 2011 Ian – stays busy with work, Cub Scouts - Bear Den Leader last school year and Assistant Cub Master and Webelos Den Leader this school year, ran the Human Race 10k pushing Dallin in a stroller, went on a 50-mile backpacking trip in Lassen, made some additions to our tree fort, and took the boys to a few Scout Camps, our local Air Show, kayak camping at Loon Lake with Grandpa. Michelle – spent the year knitting, sewing, reading, exercising, volunteering at school and Scouts, cooking and cleaning. Andrew – finished 3rd grade and is enjoying 4th grade in a 4th/5th combo class with one of Michelle’s favorite former teachers, earned his Bear badge and is working hard on his Webelos requirements, learned to play the piano and recorder, reading through the Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl series, and loves playing soccer and ping pong. Dallin – finished 1st grade and is enjoying 2nd grade, earned his Tiger badge and Wolf badge, won 1st place for Best of Show in our Pack’s Pinewood Derby, learned to play the piano, enjoys Lego building and playing ping pong, and is reading his way through the Judy Moody and Harry Potter series.

SOOOOOOOOOO cool! Oh my goodness, I am soooo JEALOUS!!! Way to go!! I think the wheel to raise the ladder is the best part!
That is amazing!!!!!!!! I'm so showing Warren and next year, when the new house is built, he is going to have to build that fort....minus the tree 'cause we don't have any.
Ok, that is just freak'n cool! We all love it.
